Ya gotta Love it!

I saw this on a friends blog and thought it was great! I thought I would try it and share it. Simple you just have to list 10 things you have done right lately...sometimes not so easy when we are often putting ourselves down! Here goes:

1. Called my mom to check in (we don't talk all that often, but now that she is home alone all the time I am trying to do much better!) She really enjoyed it and so did I!
2. Got my preschool calendars ready and passed out before the month of February actually started! (this doesn't always happen, but I try!)
3. Rented movies for family movie night instead of giving in to the theater and spending $ I am trying to save! (we got three for $1 at redbox! Big savings!)
4. I worked out 4 days this week!
5. Provided dinner for the Missionaries. Which didn't feel too much like service since my kids had so much fun and my husband cooked(pizza...his idea...missionaries loved it or so it seemed after 6pieces, salad & dessert!)
6.Ironed my guys shirts so that they are ready for sunday and work this week...no rush iron job on sunday morning! Yeah!
7. Finished the laundry and vaccuming done for the week...even though I try not to sometimes this runs into the next week's laundry and vaccuming!:)
8. Moves last years reciepts filed downstairs and set up new files for this year! Phew! This did not get done last year, the files were bulging!
9. Took my 12yr old and 1 yr old swimming after working out. I hate swimming unless it is a hot summer day. They were so cute Rylee was trying to blow bubbles in the pool...I am so glad she didn't swallow the whole pool. You have to be careful what she sees you do, she copies everything!
10. Cooked dinner everynight this week except friday...Even Sunday which is rare since grandma lives around the block and has a standing invititation each suday. (My family loved my swedish meatballs cooked in my birthday present...red crockpot...I was so Happy!)
Somethings we do may seem mundane...but it is so important. This list was harder than I thought. Give it try, you all deserve it!

Here's to You!

I have read three different articles in three different forms of mediums about giving compliments. Each article said that even the littlest compliment makes a huge difference. I agree! I know I am always in need of validation, but I figure if a little compliment can make my day it can do the same for someone else. I always give out compliments. I do have one requirement. It has to be sincere, never a lie. If i see someone and I think their hair looks cute or I like their shoes, or whatever, I never just think it, I say it. I compliment total strangers all the time, I may be wierd, but I would hate for them to go all day in the cute skirt and have no one comment. If they think I am wierd most likely they will never see me again!:) So blogger friends here's to YOU! I know you are strong and work hard, you are good mother's and your wonderful spirit's make someone else's life much better. And on top of that you Look Good doing it!
Here are a few pics of some fun Journals I made for my kids to give their cousins for Christmas. I got the idea from my friend's blog. Hers were so cute I thought I would try.

I made one for each of my kids too. I think they turned out pretty cute. I found the notebooks at Wal-mart for $1 and they are good sized 7x9. Thanks for the inspriation Darcee!

haPpy neW yeAr !

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, as we did. We always spend the day at grandmas which is always so much fun. We eat way too much and play games all day. The day after Christmas we spend at home. We stay in our Pj's and make our house a bigger mess than cleaning up. On Saturday we spent the day making even a bigger mess getting stuff ready for the DI. I did get the Christmas stuff to their designated living spaces.I can't believe it is now time for the tree to come down. It went way to fast.

Then it was New Years. We have an awesome party at my sister in laws where we again eat too much and play games until 3 or 4 am. This year we made it past 4 since Roger and Mitch didn't get to the festivities until 1am. Mitch went to the stake dance(is he really old enough?;) My sister in law throws a great New Year's Party. She makes yummy soup and we all bring yummy stuff to eat. She also loves noise makers and confetti. This year they got metallic confetti...uhg!...it itches! Here are some fun pics of us swimming in confetti!

The dreaded kiss from mom!
I hope you all have a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
